Common Ground, Common Future

Common Ground, Common Future develops a perspective on individual and collective roles and responsibilities as citizens, professionals, and moral beings, with a recognition of our mutual obligations to the challenges inherent in the processes of governance. The initial chapter provides an overview of moral agents, moral agency in professions and citizenship, and the concept of a unified ethic. The next two chapters discuss the status of the public administrator as a moral agent. Chapters III, IV, V, and VI concern moral agency in business, public health, law, and higher education. The final chapters apply the unified ethic to fortify moral agency.
